Cleo Annette (Hood) Cooper
February 4, 1940 - February 3, 2026
Cleo passed away with her beloved daughter and son by her side.
Born in Springview, Nebraska, Cleo moved to California at the age of 18, eventually making her home in Denair and later in Modesto. She retired from the USPS in 1991 and spent the years that followed travelling around the country by RV with her husband, Don, visiting family and friends until his passing in 2013.
She was cherished by all who knew her, remembered for her kindness, generosity and strong faith in God. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
Cleo is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Kevin) Strobridge, son, Russ Faultner, grandchildren Brianna (Gary), Stephanie (Tomas), Vanessa, Chloe and Trevor. As well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don, her brothers Donald and Hubert, and sister Louise.
In accordance with Cleo's wishes no formal services will be held; her ashes will be scattered at sea. The family plans a Celebration of Life later 2026.
