Clifford Mark Ellsworth, age 76, of Superior, Wisconsin, passed away on December 31, 2025 with his loving family at his side. He was born on April 12, 1949, in Kirkland, Washington, to George and Jennie (Burns) Ellsworth.
Clifford was raised in Bergland, Michigan, where he attended Bergland High School. He later served in the United States Army, including service in Vietnam.
Following his military service, Clifford dedicated more than 50 years to a career as a truck driver. Most recently, he was leased to Jeff Foster Trucking in Superior, Wisconsin. He took great pride in his work, the independence of life on the road, and the honest living he built through decades of dedication and perseverance.
Clifford found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed camping and fishing, and above all, treasured time spent with family and friends. He was well known for his unwavering work ethic, his lifelong love of cars and trucks, and his deep loyalty and devotion to those he cared about. He took immense pride and joy in his grandchildren, who were the light of his life and a constant source of happiness.
He is survived by his daughter, Shannon LaPorta of Sartell, Minnesota; his son, Ralph Kapustka of Louisville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Clifford, Kevin, Sydney, Isaiah, Ephraim, and Uriah; four great-grandchildren; his partner, Barbara Martineau of Superior, Wisconsin; three sisters, Joanie (Gary) Raymond of Merriweather, Michigan, Jeanette Waller of Naples, Florida, and Colleen DeMent of West Monroe, Louisiana; one brother, Robert Ellsworth of Wausau, Wisconsin; along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Leonard "Pete" Ellsworth and Charles Ellsworth.
In accordance with his wishes, Clifford will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held this coming summer in Upper Michigan, with details to be announced at a later date.
