Clyde Ferguson

August 9, 1935 – January 26, 2026

Clyde Ferguson lived with a gentle strength that made people feel safe in his presence. He accepted Christ in his youth and reaffirmed that faith with deep sincerity in 2025.

Clyde served his country, pursued higher education, and built a respected career in social work, mental health leadership, and real estate as a longtime landlord, but what defined him most was the way he cared for people. Clyde listened deeply, welcomed freely, and connected across every line that divides us. He found joy in history, sports, and antique cars, but nothing meant more to him than being Blake’s father, the love of his family and close friends, and his treasured companionship with Katie Blachly. With gratitude and grace, he carried the memories of his Texas childhood—picking cotton, honoring Juneteenth celebrations, and sharing decades of laughter at family reunions.

Clyde passed away in Portland, Oregon, on January 26, 2026, at the age of 90.

Clyde’s legacy is simple yet profound: to live with compassion, resilience, and a love that leaves people better than you found them.
