In Loving Memory of Cody Ryan Gibson
July 17, 1984 - December 18, 2025

Cody Ryan Gibson was born in Corvallis, Oregon, and lived in Jefferson before moving to Salem. He spent his childhood years with his sister, Elizabeth, playing and learning together while always trying to outdo each other—whether it was shooting hoops or earning straight A's. He graduated from McKay High School and attended Oregon State University, where he studied Nuclear Engineering. After graduating, he moved to California, where his career in the industry began to take shape. Entrepreneurial by nature, he was always thinking of new ideas and opportunities, including co-founding a wallet company, CONA, with his longtime friend Nathan—one of many ventures that reflected his drive and creativity. He traveled to more than 25 countries before ultimately making his home in Phoenix with his wife, Jessica, where building a life with a family of his own became his proudest accomplishment. He had an unmistakable drive and stood out for his sharp mind, strong will, and larger-than-life presence, living every moment to its fullest. He loved cars, enjoyed an occasional cigar with friends, and spent time with those closest to him.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Forrest Gibson and Francis Barrett, and his grandmothers, Betty Starr and Patricia Barrett. He is survived by his wife, Jessica; his daughter, Emma; and his son, Caleb; his mother, Mary Barrett; his father and stepmother, Forrest and Dawn Gibson; his sister, Elizabeth Garcia, and her husband, Daniel; his niece and nephew, Audrey and Vincent; along with a large circle of extended family and close friends.
