Cody Ryan Harpst, 40, passed away on February 7, 2026, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born on October 9, 1985 in St. Charles, Missouri. Cody lived a vibrant life filled with adventure, dedication, and heart.

Professionally, Cody served as a maintenance supervisor and held leadership roles at Coastal Ridge. He was recently nominated for senior maintenance supervisor. His strong work ethic and problem-solving skills, along with pride in his craft earned him the respect of his colleagues. He found fulfillment in restoring what was broken, both in machinery and moments that needed care.

Cody loved to travel, whether it be a solo cross country road trip on his beloved Harley, or doing handstands (illegally photographed) at Machu Picchu. Cody's adventurous spirit carried him always. He loved snowboarding with his best friend Chris. Kayaking was another favorite thing to do. He reveled in nature through years of exploring the outdoors and camping all over the country. A passionate fan of live music, he cherished the energy of concerts and the joy of shared experiences.

His beloved dogs, Frankie and Orbee, were constant companions, especially during games of "glow ball." In recent years, Cody embraced a healthier lifestyle by riding a bicycle again and exploring fitness goals, even mentioning joining a gym. Cody loved to cook with his partner, Ali, and enjoyed spending quality time at home with his family. He was also recently getting into sports betting, learning the ropes from his brother Matt. More than anything, Cody valued strengthening the relationships with those he loved and cared for most, as he was writing the next chapter of his life.

Cody is lovingly remembered by his older brother Matthew Harpst and girlfriend Janelle Kutz of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; his younger sister, Taylor Harpst and brother-in-law Tim Nadeau, of Manor, Texas; and his life partner Alexandria Holmes, of Lafayette, Indiana; and many beloved aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Harpst (née Bafik), father Gary Harpst, maternal grandparents Merch and Mary Bafik, paternal grandmother Billie Stapf, and paternal grandfather Don Harpst.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on February 28, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at PFEM Hall & Banquet Center, 115 McMenamy Rd. St. Peters, MO 63376

May his memory bring comfort to all who love him.
