Connie (Constance) Ruth Taylor Johnson

Connie (Constance) Ruth Taylor Johnson, 78, formerly of Snow Hill, MD., passed away at her home in San Antonio, TX., on Saturday, February 7, 2026, where she lived with her daughter Chrissy and her family for the past 15 years.

Connie and her late husband, Tom, raised two daughters in Snow Hill, MD. She was a retired CNA from Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she worked for over 25 years. After retirement, she moved to San Antonio, TX. to help care for her two granddaughters. She was lovingly known to them as Mema, and found joy in being able to watch them grow each day. Connie enjoyed cooking, and was known for her chicken and dumplings. She also enjoyed watching cooking shows, planting flowers, and watching hummingbirds at her windows. Connie will be remembered for her love for her family, her quick humor, her generosity, and her cooking.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Avery T. Taylor Sr., and Hazel E. Taylor, of Snow Hill, MD.; her brother, Avery T. Taylor, Jr., of Millsboro, DE.; and her husband Thomas R. Johnson, and their son Thomas (T. J.) Johnson, Jr.

She is survived by a daughter, Julie Johnson, and her partner, Adam Starkey, and their son, Austin, of Salisbury, MD.; a daughter, Chrissy Zbojniewicz, and her husband Lee, and their two daughters Gabby and Eliza, of San Antonio, TX.; a brother, Robert L. Taylor, and his wife Anne, of Beaufort, SC.; and a beloved friend, Vicky Whitmoyer, of Pittsville, MD.

Family has made private accommodations to lay her to rest.
