Consuelo Diaz

Consuelo Diaz (née Colmenero) passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in El Paso, Texas. She was born on December 21, 1937, in Santa Clara, New Mexico.

Consuelo’s life spanned over eight decades, during which she touched the lives of many with her presence. Raised in Chihuahua, Mexico and El Paso, Texas, she carried the values and traditions of her upbringing throughout her life. She shared 64 years of loving marriage with Porfirio Diaz, Jr. She is survived by her husband, two children, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a sister. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.

A Funeral Mass will be held on February 25, 2026, at 09:30 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church 7712 S Rosedale St. A Graveside Service will be held on February 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery East 12400 Montana Ave.
