Family was at the heart of Craig's life. He is survived by his four sons: Joseph (Elisa) Locke of Washington State; Alexander Locke and Daniel (Karla) Locke of Salinas, California; and John Russo of Marina, California. He was a loving grandfather to Sky and Lex Locke of Washington State and there is the coming arrival of Baby Locke in Salinas, this August. Craig shared a very close bond with his siblings: Carrie (Blayne) Hartman, Natalie (Leon) Boushee' , Annette (David) Prather, Chris (Traci) Locke, Taundie (Michael) LaCasa, and Kathlene Haley. He also has many nephews and nieces that he truly adored. He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Nina Locke, as well as his beloved grandmother, Mary Locke.
Craig found immense joy in nature and cherished outdoor adventures. He loved backpacking, camping, and bike riding but held a special place in his heart for Yosemite National Park. His annual trips to Yosemite with family were among his most treasured traditions. Exploring the breathtaking beauty of Yosemite Valley brought him great enthusiasm and happiness—a passion he shared with those closest to him. He was an enthusiastic race car fan, particularly with the IndyCarSeries and NASCAR. He was a 49er fan and later in life became a fan of Boston teams and loved professional hockey. Ever since he was a young boy he had a special place in his heart for the four-legged friends, cats, dogs, and even an alligator!
May those who knew him find comfort in remembering the good times he brought to their lives and the adventures they shared together. The family will be having a memorial gathering to be announced at a later date.
