Crisoforo or Chris as everyone knew him, was a veteran of the Air Force, serving from 1951-1954, including active duty during the Korean War. During Chris' younger days he was an outstanding pitcher for the Concepcion Wildcats. As the owner of South Motor Co. for many years, he utilized his mechanical expertise. Chris was a generous person who helped a lot of people whether it was not charging for mechanical services, giving advice or financial assistance. His greatest passion was the ranch life and his horses. He was a horse breeder and trainer of his own racehorses. With his final race now concluded, he will forever be honored in the winners circle. He now has the best seat from up above watching his legacy for horses that has been passed down through generations, from his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Chris was a calm soul who enjoyed sitting outside his home watching the La Chona traffic, and would offer a wave to those who honked while driving by and he will be greatly missed.
