Curtis Grady Barlow, age 81, of Helotes, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026. He was comforted in his passing by his devoted daughter Christina at his bedside, and his son Jake, and Jake's wife Clarice, who were present virtually to bid him a loving farewell.
Born on March 1, 1945 in Marianna, Florida, he was the son of Jack and Velma Barlow. Curt was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, and retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force.
On June 17, 1989, he married Sang Rasmussen Barlow, with whom he shared over 36 years of marriage.
Curt loved cars, especially racing cars, and was a champion bass fisherman. He will be remembered for his ineffable charm, wry humor, and his love of NCIS re-reruns.
He is survived by his wife, Sang Barlow, and her children Genie Rasmussen, Cynthia Rasmussen, and Scott Rasmussen and his wife Kasey; his natural children, Brenda Ray and her husband Philip, Jake Barlow and his wife Clarice Corell, and Christina Garcia and her husband Joseph Jr; his thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and his brother Donald Barlow and his wife Kathy, and Richard Barlow and his wife Eda, and his sister Robyn Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Sandra Kretzer and Deborah Wells.
