It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and wife, Cynda Jayne Graham-Krane (64 years old).
Cynda was born on November 25, 1961, in Peterborough, ON, and passed away on February 26, 2026, in Whitby, ON, surrounded by her family and friends.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, wife, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she knew.
Cynda is lovingly remembered by her husband, Steve Sackett; her son, Andrew Krane (Heenal); her daughter, Sarah Krane (Bryan); her stepdaughter, Corinne Sackett; and her stepson, Brad Sackett. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Benjamin, Theodore, and Charlotte. She will be forever missed and cherished by her mother and stepfather, Barb and George Pike, and her brothers, Steve and Paul Graham.
Cynda was raised in Cobourg, ON, and dedicated her adult life to raising her children in Port Elgin, ON, and teaching elementary school in Southampton, ON, where her compassion and nurturing spirit made a lasting impact on the many young lives she guided. She later settled in Mentor, OH, with her beloved husband, Steve.
Cynda found great joy in nature and especially loved the waters of the Great Lakes. She cherished time spent sailing, swimming, and relaxing at the beach with family and friends. She also loved running and walking in nature, embracing the peace and beauty of the outdoors.
Cynda had a radiant smile that could light up any room. She possessed a beautiful, kind soul and a generous heart that deeply felt the world around her. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people on a profound level, and those fortunate enough to know her experienced her warmth, empathy, and genuine love with every encounter.
Cynda will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her many family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-4pm on March 28th at the Outlaw in Southampton, ON.
An additional gathering will be held for local friends and family from 4-6pm on March 21st at Mentor Harbor Yacht Club in Mentor, Ohio
