Dana Glester, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dana spent much of her life in Linden and Metuchen, New Jersey, before retiring with her husband to Fort Myers, Florida.
Dana was married to Harold Glester, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with adventure. In their younger years, they were members of the Piston Pushers Racing Crew and later became avid travelers who journeyed to 49 states in their camper. Dana and Harold were also members of the Alaska Trekkers Camping Club, where they shared countless miles on the open road. They found joy in exploring America’s small towns, natural beauty, and national parks, fueled by a deep love for their country and the people who make it special.
Throughout her professional life, Dana served as a controller for several nursing homes in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Beyond her career, Dana was active in her community as a member of the League of Women Voters and a dedicated volunteer for the Republican Party, lending her sharp insight and boundless energy to causes she believed in.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; her sister, Maryann; and her son, Jack. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Sue Ann, and her husband, Tony; her cherished grandchildren and their spouses: Philip and his wife, Julia; Samantha and her husband, John; Desiree; and Julie; and her four beloved great-grandchildren—PJ, Jolene, Ellie, and JR.
Dana’s faith in God guided her, and her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now joyfully reunited with her loved ones in Heaven. Her strength, her spirit, and the lessons she taught will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
