It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dan Corcoran, age 69, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, who left us unexpectedly.
Born in Danville, IL, was raised in Detroit, until later moving to St. Clair Shores. Dan Corcoran was a graduate of St. Clare Montefalco Elementary School, Finney High School, and Ferris State University. His strong work ethic and dedication carried through his entire career at Cummins, where he was respected not only for his skill and professionalism but also for his kindness, and unwavering integrity. Dan was a longtime and proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Loyal Order of Moose, and Fraternal Order of Eagles where he formed countless friendships and contributed very generously to the community he loved.
Family meant everything to him. He is survived by his five siblings— Patrick (Patricia), Michael (Donna), Timothy (Christine), Kathleen, and Colleen (James), numerous nieces and nephews and an endless number of friends who will miss his laughter, his wisdom, and his easygoing Irish spirit. Those who knew Dan will remember him as a man of faith, loyalty, and compassion—a steady presence who could light up any room and never ever hesitated to lend a helping hand.
A Celebration of Life mass will be held at St. Issac Jogues (21100 Madison St., St. Clair Shores, MI 48081) on Saturday, December 13th at 10am.
May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who have gone before him, and forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
