Daniel passed away peacefully after a long illness on December 14, 2025. He was born on September 12, 1950 in Newfield NY.
He leaves behind his wife Dawn Paulsen, sister Gail and brother Mark. He is predeceased (PD) by his brother John. Daniel will be missed by many family members including: nieces Lillian Fuller and Sarah (Fuller) Tobey, nephew John (Jr.) Fuller, and brother-in-law's Daniel Blais (Lonna), and Michael Paulsen, and Neil, Michael (Jr.) Jessica (PD), Lara, Darren, Mitchell, and Ashley.
Daniel graduated from Newfield High School ('67) and attended Tompkins County Community College (TC3). He worked in HVAC and Engineering Technology with a focus on building automation and controls. He was a member of Electricians Union Local #241 in Ithaca NY. Later, he attained a supervisory role at Cornell University where he retired in 2014.

Daniel was a vintage car enthusiast and especially enjoyed his Corvette. He loved attending vintage car events. Daniel was an avid motorcycle rider and mechanic, and was a member of the Ithaca Dirt Riders. He earned the level of black belt in Tae Kwan Do and was a member of the Quiet Society in Ithaca, NY. Daniel had many fond memories riding and considered his motorcycle riding in Switzerland "his trip of a lifetime". In more recent times, he enjoyed a good cigar and meeting on Friday afternoons in Marathon NY with "The Bourbon Club".
