Daniel Patrick Moran

Daniel Patrick Moran (January 21, 1969) passed away on March 11, 2026, after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his parents, Thomas Moran and Frances (Patrus) Moran, his sister, Mary Anne (Moran) Bodish, his brother-in-law, William “Phil” Bodish, his cousin, August Rolin, his niece Megan Bodish, his partner Devon, and other family and friends. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Daniel most recently lived on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to the Arbor Day Foundation at www.arborday.org.

Daniel enjoyed nature, animals, hockey, and above all, music: its sound, theory, history, and writing it. In his lifetime he played the piano, saxophone, ukulele, mandolin, and flute. His favorite musical instrument was the guitar. He loved musicians from Erik Satie, to Rosemary Clooney, Radiohead, and the Wu-Tang Clan. When not immersed in music you could find him at the bar, hiking, on a boat, or watching noir films. No matter the situation, he was always the funniest guy in the room.
