Daniel Joel Shirk

On November 23, 2025 Daniel Joel Shirk was in an accident in Berthoud Colorado and had passed away. He was only 28 years old.
Daniel was the son of Rob and Valerie Shirk of Prospect Connecticut. As one of 10 children Daniel grew up surrounded by loving brothers and sisters. He was a natural born leader, encouraging, challenging and fun to be around. He always gave 110% in everything he did. He enjoyed playing all kinds of sports (especially backyard football with his brothers), hiking, backpacking, touring on his motorcycle and traveling. He loved life, worked hard and always challenged those around him to do more. Daniel loved family and cultivated a unique friendship with each one. All of us are deeply saddened by his loss.
Daniel was predeceased by his grandparents Norman and Betty Shirk. He is survived by his parents, Rob and Valerie Shirk; his brothers Joshua (Angie), Benjamin, Caleb, Samuel, Josiah and Judah; his sisters Hannah, Leah and Mary; his niece Adelaide and nephews Esher, Aaron and Ethan. He was blessed to
have many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins who were a great source of love and friendship to Daniel.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am Friday December 19 at the Mechanic Falls Vineyard Church in Mechanic Falls Maine.
