Danielle Sousa Santos da Silva

Danielle Sousa Santos da Silva, of Beacon, New York, passed away on January 30, 2026, in New York City, at the age of 46.

Danielle was known for her easy humor, her generosity, and her deep love for the people in her life. She expressed her love through welcoming others into her home, creating a space where all were welcome, joy came naturally, and everyone felt cared for. Her table was always full of home-cooked food, and no one ever left hungry or feeling like a stranger.

She is survived by her partner, Laura, and their children, Nicolas and Julia, who were the center of her world. She also leaves behind her brother, David and his wife Cassandra, her sister, Desiree and her husband Anthony, her nieces, Rafaela and Gabriela, and her nephew, Cristian, along with a wide circle of friends who will miss her warmth, laughter, and comforting presence. Danielle was predeceased by her parents.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Danielle's memory to Doctors Without Borders or World Central Kitchen.
