Danny Ray Roberds, 79, of Lexington, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Bloomington, Illinois on September 10th, 1946 to Edward Arthur Roberds and Vivian Charlotte May, and was the oldest of five children. Danny attended Normal Community High School before joining the Navy Seabees in 1966, serving two tours in Vietnam. He later became a brick layer, heating and air conditioning technician, and was employed at American Buildings Company for 29 years as a welder and machine maintenance technician.
He married Gina Richard of Towanda, Illinois on January 20th, 1978. She survives. Also surviving are two children: Justin (Mary) Roberds of Lexington, Illinois; Lisa (Matt) Parnell of Decatur, Illinois; and one grandchild, Madison "Madi" Roberds, also of Lexington, Illinois. He is also survived by his siblings: Jackie Rever, Linda (Steve) Anderson, Charles Roberds, Greg (Sian) Roberds, as well as several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and treasured K-9s Buddy Edward, Willow Marie, and Magnolia May.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Clark Roemer; brother-in-law, Mike Rever; nephew, Daniel Roberds; and his beloved Irish Setter, Kane McLean O'Shane, and Cairn Terrier, Duncan Digz Fuzzywhiskers.
Danny was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan, fisherman, woodworker, and enjoyed tinkering in his workshop and spending time with his family and puppy dogs at home.

Cremation rights have been accorded, and per Danny's request there will be no services.
