Darcie Lynn Schroeder

With hearts broken but full of gratitude for her life, we share the passing of our mother, Darcie Schroeder, who left this world peacefully on December 5th, 2025, with her daughters lovingly by her side.

Over the past year and a half, Darcie faced tremendous challenges following a lung transplant, meeting each one with strength, grace, and quiet courage. Though we mourn deeply, we find comfort in knowing she is no longer struggling.

Darcie dedicated more than 30 years of her life to caring for the tiniest and most vulnerable patients as a NICU nurse. Her compassion, skill, and unwavering commitment touched countless families and left an impact that will endure for generations. Her work was not just a career but a calling that reflected the depth of her kindness.

She was brilliant, loving, and wonderfully funny — a woman whose warmth could brighten any space. She passed on her love of the beach, the sunshine, and an ice-cold Diet Coke, gifts that will forever remind us of her joyful spirit.

Darcie was preceded in death by her parents, whom she now joins in peace.
She is survived by her daughters Alyssa, Lauren, and Brianna, their spouses, and her six cherished grandchildren — all of whom were her greatest pride and joy. She is also survived by her brother Roger, her sister Colleen, their spouses, and countless nieces and nephews who adored her deeply.

She will be missed beyond measure and remembered always.

A memorial service to celebrate Darcie's life will be held in the spring.
