Darlene Daly (née Thornberg), age 71, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Maple Plain, Minnesota. Born on March 9, 1954, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Darlene brought warmth and laughter into the lives of all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Darlene was known for her sharp wit, caring nature, and an uncanny ability to find the good in everything and everyone. Her infectious laugh and sense of humor—often laced with a touch of sarcasm—was a hallmark of her personality and endeared her to many. She was deeply loved by family members and friends alike.
Darlene's legacy lives on through her children: Christina Schulte (David), Daniel Daly (Kimberly), Katherine Daly, and Joseph Daly (Jessica). She was a proud grandmother to Taylor, Jake, Rylie, Hailey, Nathan, and Maverick; and a delighted great-grandmother to Wren and Emery.
She is also remembered by her siblings: Fran Lundgren (Bob), Raymond Thornberg, Dee Grant, and David Person. Darlene held close the memory of her predeceased brothers: Cliff Thornberg, Paul Person Jr., and Timothy Person; as well as her brother-in-law Patrick Grant.
