Beloved mother, sister, and dear friend to many, Darlene Frances Piché passed peacefully on December 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Pontiac, Michigan, to Francis and Pauline Piché, Darlene grew up with a strong commitment to her family and education. She raised two children while earning a college degree and working full-time, exemplifying resilience and dedication. In 1982, she moved to San Diego, CA, where she continued to nurture her family.
An avid quilter and member of San Diego's Village Quilters Guild, she was able to share her talent, educate, create and donate her knowledge and time.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Dempsey (Chris) and David Hustosky (Mary), along with her cherished grandchildren, Jasper, Rebecca, Christina, Kate, and Aaron. Darlene is also survived by her siblings Rosemary (Robert) Warner and Anne (Mark) Fehlman. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Piché. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
