Darwin Williams

We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Darwin Fiedel Williams, known to many as "Man" and "Red," born October 12, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan. He passed away on February 1, 2026, at his home in Detroit.

Darwin was raised and educated in Detroit Public Schools. He was known as a hardworking, dependable, and kind man. He spent many years working at General Motors and later worked in roofing and home repair. He was also a great cook and took pride in preparing delicious meals for family and friends. He loved family gatherings and was especially cherished as an uncle and brother.

He is survived by his daughter, Darla Bishop (husband, Myron), from his marriage to Cherunda Fox, and a son born in 2013. At the time of his passing, he was survived by his siblings Michael (Cheryl) Williams Sr., Vickie (Michael) Evans, Pamela (Larry) Walker, Teressa Perry Williams (widow of Garry Williams), and Edward Williams Jr., who passed away shortly after Darwin. Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Roslyn. He is also remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.

A memorial gathering is being planned for March 1st. Details will be shared once confirmed.
