Daryl Jay Kaufman

Daryl Jay Kaufman passed away on November 28, 2025 after a long illness. Daryl was born on February 1, 1970, a little brother to Paul Kaufman (Cantonment, FL) and second son of Diane Gluck and David Kaufman. He was a lifelong resident of Oxford, CT. Daryl graduated from Kaynor Technical High School in 1988 going on to earn his Mechanical Engineering degree from UConn in 1994 and then received an MBA from UConn in 2002.

Daryl worked for thirty years as an engineer and manager; enjoying the people he worked with hoping to have passed on some knowledge and inspire further growth in his team. Before his illness he enjoyed playing volleyball, tennis, and fixing the house. One of Daryl's fondest memories was teaching his children to ride their bikes, then later his motorcycle.

In 1994 Daryl married his college sweetheart, Janice Kaufman. Together they had three children (daughters Caitlyn and Samantha Kaufman and a son, Sean Kaufman, all of Oxford). Daryl was thankful to stay long enough to see them grow into adults. Daryl was very proud of being their dad.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at 11:00 a.m. on December 14th in Oxford, CT at EVENTS by Party Plus 144 Oxford Road in Tommy K's Plaza. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to NMDP - National Marrow Donor Program (https://www.nmdp.org).
