David Paul Bradtke

David Paul Bradtke of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away on December 26, 2025 after a sudden illness.

Born to the late Reverend Traugott Bradtke and Ilse Bradtke, David grew up in Marshfield, Wisconsin, where he graduated as valedictorian of Marshfield High School in 1967. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and later received his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he served on the Law Review.

David built a distinguished career as both an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant. He began his career as an attorney at Touche Ross in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1974. He relocated to San Antonio, Texas in 1980 to work for Peat Marwick. He later settled in Flower Mound, TX where he served as Senior Vice President of Tax for LQ Management from 2006 to 2018. In 2018, he joined CorePoint Lodging Inc. as Senior Vice President, Tax, where he continued until his retirement

David is survived by his sons, Andrew Bradtke and his wife Monica, and Christopher Bradtke and his wife Laura; his granddaughters, Abigail Bradtke and Caroline Bradtke; and his sister, Susan Bradtke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Traugott Bradtke and Ilse Bradtke.

David loved listening to his eclectic collection of music. He never passed up a chance to talk with his sons about business and cars or listen to his granddaughters play his mother's piano.

A memorial service will be held on March 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hewitt, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Hewitt, Wisconsin, where his father had previously served as pastor.
