David Eugene De Crosta of Houston, Texas, passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 65, following a brief illness. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Frances Dean and the late Robert Gerard De Crosta Sr. Throughout his life, David was known for his unwavering dedication to building, creating, helping others, and loving his family deeply.
As the founder of Total Wood Interiors, David built more than fine woodwork—he built a legacy. He took great pride in working alongside his sons, David De Crosta Jr. and Anthony De Crosta, passing on not only his craftsmanship but also his strong work ethic and values. David was an avid car enthusiast, well known for his ever-changing collection of hot rods and classic cars. Equally close to his heart was his love for rescue dogs, welcoming many into his home over the years with compassion and care.
David is survived by his sons, David De Crosta Jr. and his wife Kim, and Anthony De Crosta and his wife Chelsey; his grandchildren Hailey, Decker, and Asher De Crosta, with another grandchild on the way; his beloved mother, Frances Dean; his brother, Robert "Bubba" De Crosta; and his sisters, Julie Palmacci and Traci Gholson.
