David A. Goris, 86, passed away on January 27, 2026, in Lake Wales, Florida. Born on November 27, 1939, in Buffalo, New York, David lived a life defined by hard work and devotion to his family.

David spent most of his life in Western New York before semi-retiring in Florida. He embraced a second career that brought him immense joy—spending 17 years as a ferry boat driver at Walt Disney World. This role allowed him to interact with countless visitors and added a memorable chapter to his life.

David was the cherished father of Gerard Goris (Rebecca), and Margit Goris. He was a proud grandfather to Caryn, Cameron, Katherine, and Ethan. His family was a constant source of pride and fulfillment.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Clara Goris (Schemel), as well as his brother Richard C. Goris and sister Patricia Coyle (Goris).
