David Greene

1941 - 2025

Retired USAF MSGT David Conard "Connie" Greene passed away on November 14, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on October 22, 1941, in Tipton, Pennsylvania, son of the Late Violet Margaret (Jones) Greene and James H. Greene Sr. of Tipton, PA . David served 22 years in the military as a Weather Technician, had two tours in Alaska, where he pursued fishing and hunting. We spent 4 years in Japan at Fuchu Air Station.

After retirement from the Air Force, David worked for Electro Com in Arlington, TX., as a Software /Firmware Engineer. He worked another 25 years and retired from Siemens Electric. During this time, David decided to start Drag Racing with Mike and Karen. David did quite well in the sport and had the whole family racing. The grandkids ran in Jr Dragsters.

Married for 61 years to JoNell (Garrett) Greene. Three son's Michael A. Greene (Christie), born in Alaska. We have three granddaughters, Taylor Roberts (Sonny), Taryn Rickman (Kyle) two great-grandsons, Max and Palmer, Tori Collier (Koy), great great-grandson Cason. Daughter Karen Leigh Gallagher (Chris) was born in Japan. Grandson JP Powell, aka Jackson Greene, Granddaughters Zara, Maya, CeeCee, and Clara. Son David C. Greene, Jr. (Melissa) of Altoona, PA., daughter Brandi Kephart (Devin) and their children Pearl, Leo, and Elizabeth, of Ft Campbell, KY.

Throughout his life, David was known to those around him as Connie. His journey took him from the quiet beginnings of Tipton to various places across the country and ultimately brought him to Texas.

He is remembered by his brother James H. Greene Sr. and his wife Carol of Yakima, Washington, as well as nieces Lori Duran and Wanda Oliver. Their memories of him remain a lasting tribute to his presence in their lives. He was preceded in death by his brother, Byron R. Greene of Tipton, PA.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on December 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy.
