David Alexander "Dave" Harrower, 78, of Bolivar, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026. Born on December 1, 1947, in Cannonsburg, Pennsylvania, to Alexander and Mildred Harrower, David lived a life defined by hard work, love for his family, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
David began his professional journey as a Sales Representative at GBS, where he honed his skills and built a reputation for integrity and dedication. With a bold vision and unwavering determination, he later founded his own construction accounting software and IT support company. Over the course of 40 years, David grew this business into a thriving enterprise that reflected his commitment to excellence and service. His career was a testament to his innovative mind and steadfast work ethic.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, David was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with those he loved. He shared a deep bond with his wife, Debbie Harrower, whom he often described as his soulmate. Together they built a life filled with love and partnership; this April would have marked their 35th wedding anniversary—a milestone that speaks to their enduring devotion.
As a father to Shelly, Paton, Kim, Jake, and Michael, David was a steady presence and source of unwavering support. He took immense pride in their achievements and found joy in watching them grow into the individuals they are today. As a grandfather to eleven, great-grandfather to nine, David’s love knew no bounds. Attending sporting events or milestones, he could often be found cheering from the sidelines with quiet pride.
Summers at Atwood Lake were among David’s most treasured times. Surrounded by family and friends, he relished the laughter-filled days spent sharing stories and creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. These moments of togetherness were central to David’s life—a reflection of his belief in the importance of family bonds.
David was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Mildred Harrower; as well as his sister Rosanna. He is survived by his beloved wife Deborah; children Shelly, Paton, Kim, Jake, and Michael; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; along with countless others whose lives he touched through his kindness and generosity.
David’s legacy is one of love—love for his family, for the life he built alongside Debbie, and for the countless memories created over decades of hard work and dedication. May those who knew him find comfort in these memories as they celebrate a life well-lived.
Family and friends will be received at Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar, Ohio, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on March 4.
