David Luther Holley

David Luther Holley Jr., of Charles City, Virginia, passed away on February 2, 2026.

Born on January 15, 1972, David lived life with heart, humor, and an unmistakable presence. He was a highly skilled and educated HVAC technician who took great pride in his work and was known for his knowledge, dedication, and strong work ethic. No matter what he was doing, his greatest pride and joy were his daughters — they were his world, and everything he did was rooted in his love for them.

David enjoyed the simple things that made life feel full — hunting and fishing, cooking for the people he loved, loud rock music, and moments filled with laughter. He also deeply loved his dog, Pete, who was his constant companion and brought him comfort, loyalty, and joy. David had a way of bringing energy into a room and making memories that people held onto.

David is survived by his parents, David and Charlotte Holley; his daughters, Chynna Hobson and Savanna Mitton (Benjamin); his sister, Charlene Roach; his beloved dog, Pete; and his three grandchildren.

A private service will be held for family.

David leaves behind a love that doesn’t end here and a silence that shows just how deeply he was loved. He will be missed beyond words and remembered always.
