David Michael Lindsey, also known as "Dave," passed away on April 3, 2026, in Independence, Missouri, at the age of 70. He passed peacefully with family at his bedside, after a battle with cancer. Born on August 5, 1955, in Independence, Missouri, David often reflected on the significance of sharing his birthday with the Blessed Mother, a connection that held deep meaning throughout his life.

A graduate of Truman High School's class of 1973, David went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His early career days began in the bio-science industry before his 19 years of service to the United States Post Office.

A devout Catholic, David expressed his faith through writing and publishing two historically based religious books: "The Woman and the Dragon: Apparitions of Mary" and "The Beast in Sheep's Clothing: Exposing the Lies of Godless Human Science." His devotion to his faith was also evident in his regular attendance at St. Mark's and St. Mary's Catholic Churches in Independence.

An avid lover of Jeeps, Dave proudly owned a Jeep Rubicon. He had a special place in his heart for dogs, particularly his beloved Australian Kelpies, Mad Max and Nitro. Dave found joy in smoking foods and hosting family gatherings on his patio A skilled chess player, he participated in web-based chess competitions.

He maintained close ties with a few special high school classmates from Truman High School, who were indeed lifelong friends.

He is survived by his sisters Debbie Kraft (Jerry), Patti Bradley (Paul), and Susie Corrigan (the late Michael Corrigan), and many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Rita Lindsey of Independence, Missouri.

David Michael Lindsey will be remembered for his unwavering faith and dedication to his Catholic faith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church 3736 S. Lee's Summit Road.
