David Mack

The family of David Mack is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, husband, uncle, and friend.

David was cherished by his parents, Wayne and Rosena Mack, his three older sisters—Donna, Jean, and Lynn—and a growing circle of nieces and nephews who delighted in his boundless talents, infectious humor, and joyful spirit.

David's passion for acting sparked in early childhood and blossomed throughout his life. A proud graduate of Lakewood High School, he excelled as a football and basketball player, a bass in the choir, a class speaker, and a standout performer in several school plays.

He continued his journey at Otterbein College, where he played football and shone brightly in the drama department. His role as Tevye in A Fiddler on the Roof was memorable.

After college, David pursued his dreams in New York City, landing roles in television and theater. He later moved to Los Angeles, where he built an impressive career with appearances in TV shows and stage productions. The family especially treasured his memorable guest spots on the beloved series Murder, She Wrote, which brought pride and excitement to everyone back home.

In Los Angeles, David discovered a second calling as an elementary school teacher—a role that filled him with immense joy and purpose as he inspired young minds. It was there that he met the love of his life, his devoted and caring wife, Elaine. Together, they created a beautiful life, including cherished time at their home in the mountains.

A service was also held in Los Angeles to celebrate David's many friends from the theater world and those from their mountain community.

David touched countless lives with his warmth and talent- his light will continue to shine through all who knew him.

All are warmly invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Clifton Club, 17884 Lake Road, Lakewood, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memories, stories, or quiet reflections shared in his honor.
