David Roche, the man with a plan, peacefully passed in Naples, Florida on April 5, 2026. Dave joins his late wife, Anne, of 52 years, but leaves behind his loving wife of 2 years, Irene Statile. He is sorely missed by his daughter Kristin, son Brian and daughter in law Angie, and grandchildren Gage and Annabella. Dave joins his brother James, but leaves behind his sister Patty and sister in law Sylvia. He was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews who he dearly loved.
If you asked for advice, he was happy to give it. If you needed a friend, he was at your side. When the sun was out, he was looking for a golf course and someone to play with. Except if the Cubs were playing. He was then either at the game or watching it on tv. Dave loved coaching baseball and Brian, not only molding him but every little leaguer on his team. He created life long friendships with the “Nomads”, both players and parents.
Dave was born in Chicago and lived most of his life in Long Grove, Illinois, where he built a business filled with clients and business partners. Many of these business relationships turned into friendships. He gained more relationships than he lost because of mutual respect and trust. Retirement did not come easy because of this.
Dave lived an amazing life. He was loyal and dedicated to those he loved. Virtues he passed on to his children and grandchildren. His last piece of advise was his best: Remember “count your blessings.”
A memorial date, time and place will be set and shared in the future.
