David Lee Rowton

David was born on September 18, 1985 and lost his life to lung cancer on August 30, 2025. He lived his entire life in Ann Arbor, attended public schools, earned a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo at the age of 14, and was a talented guitarist. He worked at several jobs in the area, his most recent at Burlington in Maple Village and Busch's on S. Main.

He is survived by his mother Mary Lirette, father Tim (Laura), sister Hannah, brother Mason, grandmother Maida Haverkate, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, his dog Daisy, and many friends who will miss him terribly.

The family extends their gratitude to the oncology team at Michigan Medicine, Regency of Whitmore Lake nursing home, and Arbor Hospice for their devotion and care.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 12 from 12-3pm at Leslie Science Center, DTE Energy House, 1831 Traver Road, Ann Arbor.
