David Wilson Schupbach, 82, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away on November 30, 2025. He was born on August 29, 1943, in Nixa, Missouri.
David was a man of quiet strength and boundless generosity. Those who knew him remember his calm demeanor, his kindness, and his remarkable ability to sense when others needed help. He found joy in flying airplanes, investing, and assisting others with home repairs and car maintenance. His willingness to lend a hand and expertise were gifts he freely gave to all.
David's varied careers reflected his versatility and dedication to service. He served in the Air Force and later in government service. His mechanical aptitude led him to work as both an auto and airplane mechanic, and he contributed to heavy machinery production and transportation at Case Equipment Company. He also briefly worked in estate brokerage, bringing his characteristic integrity to every endeavor.
He is survived by his wife Lynn of 38 years; his brother Gene Schupbach and sister-in-law Cathy Schupbach; his son Mathew Schupbach and daughter-in-law Suzanne Shah; his cherished grandson Zayn Schupbach; mother-in-law Patricia LaFalce; brothers-in-law Peter LaFalce, Jr and John LaFalce (Dawn); sisters-in-law Mary Kay Back (Joe), Barbara LaFalce, Patricia Inglese and Elizabeth Landers (Bill); and many nephews and nieces.
David was preceded in death by his parents Wilson and Goldia Schupbach; his sisters Joanne Burns and Barbara Dillin; brothers-in-law Paul Dillin and Chris Inglese; sister-in-law Pam LaFalce; and nephew Captain Jason Back.
David's legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched through his generosity, wisdom, and unwavering care for others. He will be deeply missed.
