Our amazing Dad passed away on Feb 16, 2026 surrounded by his sons and daughters.
He was ready and willing to shed his earthly bonds and finally join our beloved Mom, Dorothy E (Hemsley) who passed in April of 2019.
He is also pre-deceased by son Joe, grandson Michael and great granddaughter Kayla.
Our Dad was the last born child/son to James "Omer" Scott and Sarah Edith (Woolen) Scott on July 10, 1930 in Indianapolis IN.
He was quite the athlete throughout his school years and also played on multiple amateur fast pitch softball leagues during our childhoods. He then found his favorite sport in GOLF and would shoot under-par for most of the ensuing years, still golfing with his surviving golf buddies even into his 95th year of life.
Dad is survived by his children Sharon (Bob) Tyler, David (Kathy)Scott, Linda (Jim) Hunter, Donna (Judd) Bullard, Cathy (Rich) Carr, and Stephen Scott, and our "adopted" daughter Cathi (Bill) Watson. He will be forever loved and remembered by his 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Many years ago, Dad and his favorite three golf buddies made a pact to meet in Heaven for one last golf foursome...and now as we look toward the skies we will be listening for that one familiar golfer's voice, our Dad, calling out, FORE!!
