David Shrem

David Shrem, 93, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026.

Dave was known for his sense of humor, business savvy, and integrity, along with a perfectly timed joke right when you least expected it.

Born on the Lower East Side of New York City as the youngest of seven children, Dave grew up in tough circumstances that shaped his determination and work ethic. Never settling for less, he went on to build a successful life for himself and his family, always making their well-being his top priority.

Dave married the love of his life, Rhoda, in 1953. Together they built a wonderful life filled with endless memories and world travels, while raising their 3 children. After making their way to Texas, Dave established and ran several successful businesses, slowing down was never his style.

Outside of work, Dave knew how to have a great time. He made a name for himself as Disco Dave, never meeting a dance floor he didn’t like. He spent decades playing racquetball, building lasting friendships along the way, and was feared by fish across lakes and oceans across the country.

Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Rhoda; his children, Terry, Mitchell (Lala), and Jodi (Danny); and his granddaughters, Allie (Tanner) and Sophie (Kristin).

He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and the stories of his life will always be told through laughter and love.
