It is with great sadness that the family of David E. Siar, Esquire, announces his peaceful passing after a private battle with cancer.
David was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. The only child of James Edward Siar and Anne Slusser Siar. He lived in both Pinellas and Pasco counties. David was a graduate of Northeast High School, University of South Florida, with undergraduate work in psychology and criminal justice. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida.
David was an attorney for more than 40 years. Serving over 20 years as a death qualified criminal defense lawyer and Assistant Public Defender trial attorney, over 20 years in private practice, and as a corporate director.
He is survived by his wife Claudette Siar and NeCole Egan. The family roots on the Siar and Slusser sides are mostly Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Florida. These include the Siars, Slussers, MacKenzies, Simmermans, Sharps, Loredos, Elmores, Conways, Hatchers, Williams, Jenkins... He will be missed by friends and family.
David's life-long desire to help others made the world a better place. Simply stated, David E. Siar, Esq., was a good man.
He will be laid to rest privately. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
