In Loving Memory of David Dan Trudeau
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David Dan Trudeau on March 24, 2026. He passed peacefully at home, in his sleep, surrounded by family, after more than a decade of health challenges following a double lung transplant and multiple cancers.
David was a proud and loving father to his six children: Chrisy (Matt), Brandy, Jordan (Mike), D.J., Kelsie (Mikael), and Morgan, and a grandfather to Madison, Bella, and Sebastian. He was also a beloved brother to Sharon, Perry, and Paul.
He was predeceased by his mother, Lorraine Gosselin, his father, Dennis Trudeau, and his son Morgan.
Dave was a hardworking man who started in the pipeline industry at just 15. He spent most of his career as a purchasing agent, always making sure his family was well taken care of. He was the kind of person you couldn't help but like—easygoing, charismatic, and reliable.
On weekends and in his time off, Dave loved hunting and especially fishing in recent years at Lake of the Woods with his longtime friends Debbie and Gerry Savard. He enjoyed taking his kids and friends out on the boat, riding horses, listening to country music, and keeping his truck spotless. He loved the cowboy way of life, even if work often kept him busy.
In his own way, he also found joy in the simple things—like driving around on his John Deere lawnmower and cutting his kids' grass. If he could have spent all of retirement doing just that, he would have been a happy man.
Dave will be remembered for his calm and kind nature, his big, warm bear hugs, and his hard work. His strong work ethic and big heart live on in his children.
He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
