David Allen Wigdahl passed away suddenly, far too soon, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories, laughter, and the love he shared with family, friends and all who were fortunate to know him.

He was a devoted father to four children: his daughter, Alanna, and his three sons, Payton, Olin, and Evrhett, who were the greatest pride of his life. His presence, guidance and humor shaped their lives in lasting ways.

A man of remarkable passion and drive, he lived a vibrant and adventurous life. An accomplished polo player, he competed across the world, from Brunei and England to Malaysia, Jamaica, Mexico, and Canada. His talent and dedication to the sport earned him victories in every major U.S. tournament, including winning the prestigious U.S. Open in 1978.

Beyond athletics, he was a successful businessman and a third-generation leader of Wigdahl Electric Company, expanding it into a thriving multimillion dollar enterprise through his hard work, vision and leadership.

He was known just as much for his larger than life personality as for his achievements. A natural storyteller, he could captivate any room with detailed tales that inevitably ended in uncontrollable laughter. A lifelong prankster, he never took life too seriously and believed humor was essential to living well.

His sudden passing leaves an immeasurable void, but his legacy lives on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026. Additional information will be shared at a later date.
