David Michael Workman, age 52, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by his parents Conrad and Jane (Ritzer) Workman; wife Laurie; daughters Desaree, Alicia and Cameron; siblings Sandy (Matt) Zoellner, Lisa (Greg Larsen), Scott (Verena), Laura (Andy) Miller, Chris (K.D.), Katie (Nolan Prohaska) and Kim (Nolan McKenzie) as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He was welcomed into heaven by grandparents Henry and Alice Workman, Albert and Helen Ritzer, and nephews Connor and Murphy.
Born on January 15, 1974, in Stillwater, Minnesota, Dave spent his life rooted in the community he loved. He attended school in Hudson and was a machinist by trade. He was also a familiar and well-loved presence in the Stillwater restaurant scene, starting at an early age at Esteban's and later working as a bartender at P.D. Pappy's, where he formed many lasting friendships.
An avid snowmobiler, Dave cherished the winter months, finding joy in the crisp air and the unmistakable scent of two-stroke engines. He also enjoyed time spent on the golf course, around a pool table, and exploring car shows with friends. Gifted with natural curiosity and mechanical skill, he was a true jack-of-all-trades, able to build or repair anything he set his mind to.
To know Dave was to gain a fast friend. His easygoing nature, quick wit, and genuine ability to connect with others made his presence unforgettable. He will be remembered for the life he brought to every gathering, his deep devotion to family, and his appreciation for the wide circle of friends and loved ones in his life.
Details for a Catholic Mass and celebration of life will be announced later. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be greatly appreciated to the American Cancer Society in Dave's honor.
