Dean Elliott
September 14, 1953 – December 20, 2025

Dean Elliott passed away on December 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of strength, kindness and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

A proud graduate of University of Texas at Austin (Class of 1975), Dean carried his Longhorn spirit with him throughout his life. He previously graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1971, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed the values that guided him in the years ahead.

Dean had a deep love for his dogs, who were always considered part of the family, and he rarely missed a chance to spend time on the tennis court. Nothing brought him more pride and joy than his grandchildren, who were the true highlights of his life. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and never passed up an opportunity to talk football. His Longhorn pride ran just as deep, whether it was game day, a spirited debate, or simply flashing the Hook ’em Horns sign, he carried that Texas spirit everywhere he went.

Above all, Dean was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Blake Elliott (Samantha), Jordan Lerum (Jahmin), and Samantha Elliott. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Rowan Elliott, Reese Elliott, and Nolan Elliott; and Byron Lerum and Ryder Lerum.

Dean will be remembered for his generous heart, steady presence, and the deep love he had for those closest to him.

He made one thing very clear: sadness was not to be the focus. To Dean, life was a celebration and he expected everyone to keep the party going. In that spirit, please join us in honoring him with laughter, stories, and joy, just as he would have wanted.

His ashes will be spread privately with immediate family. A public celebration of his life will be held on his birthday in September 2026, where friends and extended family are invited to gather in his honor.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Hook ’em, Dad.
