In Loving Memory of Deb Henkelman:
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Debora Marie Henkelman, who left us far too soon on December 13, 2025. She was just 67 years old, born on August 9, 1958. Deb was one of a kind.
She is survived and remembered by her daughters, Stephanie Henkelman and Katherine Mirabile, her grandchild Waverly Henkelman, her husband, Todd Lewis, and her beloved brother Jimmy Singer and his wife, Sheri. She is predeceased by her father and mother, John and Jacquelyn Singer, as well as many other family members. Also survived by Paul Henkelman, Mark and Donna Henkelman, Joey Lam, and many others that will never forget her kind and thoughtful spirit.
Deb’s life was defined by a fierce and devoted love for her family. Her strength, wisdom, and unwavering support were the foundations upon which her family built their lives. Deb was the girl scout leader, the PTA mom, the consummate host, and the glue that held us all together. Deb loved a Ravens win, an afternoon spent on the beach, and $2 Natural Lights at happy hour.
A true nurturer, Deb’s compassionate spirit extended to her two faithful canine companions, Arlo and Otto (her soul dog), who were constant sources of comfort, joy, and entertainment.
While the circumstances of her passing were sudden, leaving a void that words cannot fill, we will remember Deb for all of the wonderful memories that we carry with us. She faced her final challenge with the same quiet resilience that characterized her life. A life, however concluded, is measured by the love it leaves behind: in the laughter of Waverly, in the strength of Stephanie and Katie, and in the memories held by all who knew Deb. Her spirit endures.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, and it will be come one, come all. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you drink a can of Natural Light (in a coozie) the next time you are on a beach, buy that plant you don’t need, support your local thrift store (and yard sale), and tailgate the driver in front of you for going too slow (even if they’re going the speed limit).
“Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh, take me back to the start.”
