Deborah Ann "Debbie" Burris (née Hall), age 65, passed away on February 21, 2026, in Leander, Texas surrounded with love. Born on March 23, 1960, Debbie brought light and creativity into the world from her very beginning.
Debbie dedicated over 35 years to a career at the IRS. Her work ethic and commitment were a testament to her spirited nature and determination to excel in all she undertook. Beyond her professional achievements, Debbie was an artist and gardener who found joy in creating beauty. Whether covered in paint or dirt, she poured her heart into her passions, leaving behind works of art and flourishing gardens that reflected her love for life.
Family was at the center of Debbie’s world. She is survived by her devoted husband, David Burris; her cherished daughter, Mandy Burris; and her honorary granddaughter, Haley Kirchner, with whom she delighted in spending playful days. Debbie also leaves behind her sisters Cindy Byrd, Tina Jackson, Kathy Hall, and Mary Smith. She was adored by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will forever hold fond memories of their time with her.
Debbie was predeceased by her father, Bo Hall, and her mother, Evelyn Bradshaw. Their legacy lived on through Debbie’s fierce spirit and high energy.
She treasured visits from Mandy when they would sit together on the porch crafting David’s ever-growing to-do list - a reflection of their close bond and shared humor. Debbie lived and loved LOUD! Her vibrancy was never more evident than when she cheered from the sidelines of Haley’s volleyball games. Her artistic talents and green thumb were matched only by the love she poured into those around her. She approached life with passion and purpose, making the world more beautiful in every way possible.
Debbie’s memory will be carried forward by all who knew her. May the vivid colors of her art and the blooms of her gardens serve as a lasting reminder of a life well-lived and deeply loved.
