Deborah Jean Haak (née Stanley), age 70, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, in Winter Haven, Florida. Born on April 28, 1955, in Pensacola, Florida, Deborah lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and deep love for her family and profession.
For four decades, Deborah served as a nurse—a calling she embraced wholeheartedly. Her unwavering commitment to caring for others left an indelible mark on countless lives. Whether comforting patients or mentoring colleagues, she brought warmth and grace to every aspect of her work. She often said she "loved every minute of it," and those who worked alongside her knew that to be true.
Deborah was a devoted mother to her three children: Amber Gearlene Rivas, Adam Benjamin Aguilera, and Alex Michael Aguilera. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family; she was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her home was always filled with laughter, stories, and the kind of love that only a matriarch like Deborah could provide.
She shared her later years with her beloved partner, Herbert Young, whose companionship brought joy and comfort. Deborah also leaves behind two sisters, Denise Strong and Marcia Farrell who will cherish a lifetime of shared memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gearlene Key Stanley and Jay Lee Stanley, as well as her brother Virgil Lee Stanley.
