Deborah Dunn

Deborah Dunn (Davis), 72, passed away peacefully at her home in Newport, North Carolina on January 30, 2026.

Born on May 10, 1953, in Kinston, North Carolina, Deborah was the daughter of the late Alton and Malissa Davis.

In her younger years, Deborah loved shag dancing and listening to beach music—pastimes that reflected her vibrant spirit. She found peace and happiness tending to her flowers and took every opportunity to gather with family for celebrations both big and small. Known for her kindness and loving nature, Deborah touched many lives with her warmth.

Deborah dedicated many years of service as an Administrative Assistant at Southeastern Freight Lines before retiring. Her professionalism and dedication left a lasting impression on those she worked with.

She shared 54 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Reeves Dunn. Together they built a loving home and raised two daughters, Kelly Mooring (Timmy) and Crystal Dunn. Deborah found immense joy in being a grandmother to Dylan, Barron, Tim and Kimberly. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is also survived by her brother Durwood Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Charles Davis, Harold Davis, and Mickey Davis.
