Deborah C. Halvorsen, 66, entered into the presence of her Savior on January 21, 2026 in Land O Lakes, Florida. Her final breath on earth was followed by her first in the presence of God—a moment of peace and glory that will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who loved her.

Born on August 10th, 1959, Debbie lived a life defined by unwavering faith, deep love for her family, and a steadfast commitment to prayer. She was a devoted wife to Carl "Mark" Halvorsen, with whom she shared 28 years of marriage. Together, Debbie and Mark built a home filled with love, laughter, and the joy of the Lord.

Deb was the proud mother of her daughter, Lauren Wilkerson, and her stepdaughters, Rachel Will (Nathan Will) and Sarai Bain. Her joy grew with the addition of her grandson, Miles "Halvie" Will, her granddaughter, Zarah Bain, and her beloved grandpets, Clyde and Zuli. She is survived by her brothers, Ronnie, Bryan, and John Schroers, and was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Mary Ruth Ann Schroers.

Deb and Mark were members of Life Church in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Professionally trained as a surgical technician, Deb spent her career at Moffitt Cancer Center serving each patient with compassion and dedication. To many, she was simply "Deb or Debbie," but her greatest joy and calling was her family—she was a devoted wife, Mom, Oma, sister, aunt, cousin and a constant source of love and support. A steadfast woman of prayer, she carried the burdens of those she loved into God's presence with fierce devotion.

Her faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. Deb lived where fear met faith, sorrow met hope, and waiting never meant wasted time. Her prayers were not just words, but acts of spiritual devotion, lifting up the hearts and futures of those around her. Her smile could light up any room, and her hugs offered peace beyond understanding. She championed dreams with joy, supported every adventure with unshakable belief in others' potential, and nurtured rest and renewal with love. She believed the best in everyone, even when circumstances suggested otherwise.

Deb lived intentionally, rooted in reverence for God, and shared His love freely wherever she went. Her life was a tapestry woven with scripture and grace. In every season—joyful or trying—she clung to faith. Her final words echoed Psalm 18:18, "But the Lord was my stay." These words were not just scripture to her; they were a truth she lived.

Deb's legacy is one of enduring faith, fierce love for family, and a heart that touched countless lives. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her, and may we carry forward the light of God she so generously shared. Thank you, Deb, for loving our family so well.

In lieu of a funeral and flowers, friends are invited to honor Deb's memory by supporting Moffitt Cancer Center, continuing the fight against cancer through prevention and research: https://www.moffitt.org/cancers/?campaign=567103
