It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Deborah Susan (Fogarty) Palmer who went home to be with her Lord unexpectedly on April 1, 2026. She was born in Portsmouth VA and moved to Manchester, CT in 1962. Deborah had been staying in Helena MT with her sister for a much needed rest and the hope to heal from several serious health issues.
Deborah is predeceased by her parents Dennis and Alice Fogarty of Manchester CT, and her sister Linda Jones of Chesapeake VA.
She is survived by her husband Ken of Willington CT, her childhood sweetheart whom she married on January 28, 1996; her sister Barbara Woolfenden and husband John of Helena MT; Joy Schaefer and husband Roger of Long Island NY; and brother-in-law Gerry Jones of Chesapeake, VA. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she adored.
Deborah was passionate, warm, kind and full of life and smiles. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and made a friend of all she met. She loved to travel and open her home to friends and family, and she found great joy in tending to her beautiful gardens and feeding the hundreds of hummingbirds that visited her porch every spring.
Deb also used her gifts, hard work and dedication to build an education and training company with her husband Ken (ArborMaster.com®) that was established in 1992 and continues to serve the tree care profession nationally and internationally. Her contributions as a talented marketing and PR director to the company were irreplaceable in building the success that, for years, offered them the opportunity to travel and make friends across the world.
We mourn her loss but celebrate the love, care and kindness that was the essence of Deborah's being, and we find great comfort that she is now at peace.
A memorial service will be held in Helena Montana sometime this summer. More details will be forthcoming. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Options Clinic, 1005 Partridge Place, Suite 1, Helena MT, 59602.
