Debra "Debbie" Levesque, 70, of Bushnell, FL a former lifetime resident of Gloucester, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on February 13, 2026.
Born on May 22,1956, in Gloucester, to Robert (Bob) and Elizabeth (Betty) Ferrant, Debbie was a lifelong Massachusetts native whose warmth and creativity touched everyone she met. She had a true artistic spirit and owned a ceramics studio where she loved to paint, create, and share her craft with others. Later in life, she brought smiles to her community when she opened an ice cream shop in Rockport, a place that reflected her love for children and simple joys.
Debbie had a big heart that was especially to family. She lovingly cared for many of her nieces and nephews and was a devoted mother to her son, Dean Stewart. Debbie loved the family tradition of Sunday dinners! Some of her happiest memories were made tent camping in New Hampshire with her beloved husband, Steve Levesque, and Dean — enjoying nature, laughter, and the simple beauty of being together.
Nothing brought Debbie more joy than becoming "Grammy" to her cherished granddaughter, Ellie. She embraced her role wholeheartedly and did what Grammys do best — she spoiled her with endless love.
In her retirement years, Debbie continued to live life with fun and flair. You could often find her riding her golf cart, playing bingo at camp in New Hampshire, or relaxing poolside in Bushnell Florida, where she eventually retired.
Debbie was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her siblings: Laurene Ferrant, Christine Agnor (husband Jerry deceased), Sandra Ferrant, Steven Ferrant (wife Carol), Karin Porter (husband Kennith), Glenn Ferrant, and Janine Orgettas (husband Paul).
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Steve Levesque with whom she shared 50 years of happiness, her loving son, Dean Stewart and his wife Laura Stewart, her treasured granddaughter, Ellie Stewart and her adoring grand puppies, Connolly and Precious.
Debbie also had many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Debbie was cremated in Florida, and a Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2026 in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
Her family and friends will forever remember her creativity, her laughter, her love of family, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures.
