Anyone who knew Debbie knew she had a fun, irreverent sense of humor that could light up a room. She proudly wore the title “Nanny from hell” to her three nieces, Kali Martell, Brooke McCloskey and Brianna Stuart. A badge of honor the her family understood with knowing grins and endless affection.
Family was the cornerstone of Debra’s life. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her Daughter Tiffani Adams, Three Grandchildren Alexander, Camilla- grace and Sylvan Adams, Whom lovingly called her “Grand Mema”. Her beloved sisters De’ana Powers and Kim Mitchel. Wonderful Great Nephews and many cousins that she remembered fondly.
Debra’s life was one of profound service. Beginning at the young age of 16, she stepped into the role of a nurse’s aid, a calling she honored with compassion and grace until her well-earned retirement.
Debra found joy in the quiet beauty of life with her kitty “Stella”. She was an avid reader who loved getting lost in a good story, a talented hand at arts and crafts, and a woman who took great pride in decorating her home, transforming every space she touched into something beautiful and welcoming.
