Dee Warrick of Apopka, Florida passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, at the age of 82, entering into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior and into a long-awaited reunion with his beloved wife, Gloria. Born on September 2, 1943, in Harrison Township, Pennsylvania, to Clarence and Mae Warrick, Dee carried throughout his life the values, warmth, and work ethic that shaped his character.
After graduating high school, Dee attended the American Institute of Baking in Chicago and later worked for the family bakery, Princess Pastries, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. His God-given creativity and talent as a pastry chef became trademarks of his life.
On April 11, 1964, he married the love of his life, Gloria, with whom he shared a beautiful 58-year marriage until her passing in 2022. Together they built a family rooted in faith, devotion, laughter, and unwavering partnership and support. Dee is survived by his four children, Todd, Yvette, Chad, and Jerid, who will forever cherish his guidance, strong work ethic, and deep love for family. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, each a source of pride and joy.
In 1977, he ventured into joint ownership of Joseph's Bakery in Miami Beach, moving his wife and four children to Florida to pursue the opportunity. Throughout his life he continued to create and build whether through baking, entrepreneurship, or the many small business endeavors he took on with determination and ingenuity. A lifelong entrepreneur, Dee owned and operated various businesses and concluded his working years in the security industry, retiring from ADT Security Systems.
Known for his unmatched work ethic, Dee approached every endeavor with determination, precision, and creativity. He loved spending time with family and working on projects both in and out of the kitchen. His hands were always busy whether crafting home improvements or baking treats that became beloved family traditions. His pumpkin pie, key lime pie, Easter coconut cake, and especially his Christmas cookies were legendary, each made with unmistakable "Dee" perfection.
Some of his most treasured memories included his life with Gloria, the birth of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, family cruises, Warrick Man weekends, the Warrick Family Fantasy Football League, making Christmas cookies, trips to Plant City for strawberries for "Fam Jam," and family vacations to the Keys, Myrtle Beach, and the Georgia lake.
Above all, Dee found his greatest joy in family. Whether playing cards, baking together, or tackling creative projects, he poured his heart into every moment. He was a loving man who expressed his care through acts of service, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to those he cherished most. His family takes comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved wife, Gloria, and that he is at peace in his heavenly home.
